In The Middle of The Future, Community, Archive
Antes del Amanecer is a free street gazette led by Joanna Riquett in collaboration with the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation. Its purpose is to bring mindfulness and emotional wellbeing teachings to wide audiences through accessible, everyday, non-religious messages. Its first edition — 6,000 copies — was distributed nationally across Colombia, including at MED, the largest meditation event in the country.

La Cantera was a public initiative by Bull Nene and the Colombian Government, offering free music education to 300 teenagers and a recorded studio album to 50 finalists. I had the honor of teaching these young sparks my favorite subject: Using Imagination to Transform Your Reality.

“I have found that the more I heal my insides, the closer I feel to the natural world, the more natural it feels to live in this world, and the more I unearth my own self and the old memories of the soul. Wounds are holes, holes are doors, doors into something, openings, where, if we choose to enter them, the person that walks out is not the same who walked in. Unhealed wounds propagate, the same way good energy creates more good energy and healed wounds attract healed people. There is no need to try and save the entire world, because the entire world is simply the one You inhabit—you choose what to do with it.”
